So it's possible that your CPU is really 5 degrees C away from being able to boil water, and it's possible that the reading is wrong. If you follow one of the popular deal sites whose name starts with a synonym for slippery you will see that anytime someone posts a deal on the 89XX series he posts a reply with a warning detailing his experience with 2 (maybe 3) of these before he moved on. The problem is that every CPU, GPU, and motherboard has a different TJMAX and the program may be basing your calculations off the wrong information. I almost took an amazing deal on an 8920 series from Costco last fall but there were too many reviews from folks who returned theirs for frequent freezing and rebooting which seemed to be traceable to overheating. Things are packed in there pretty tightly with the PSU sitting right next to and very close to the CPU fan, which blocks the airflow. They drastically shrank the size of the case compared to previous versions in that line. If you search around you will find a lot of similar complaints about the Dell 89XX series. ![]() Does anyone else have this problem?
